New TÜV SÜD standard for certification of the use of energy from renewable sources
Do you offer products and services related to energy from renewable sources and seek to communicate this to your customers in a transparent and verifiable manner? TÜV SÜD has developed a new standard for the certification of energy accounting systems which fulfils this purpose. If you offer products and services that predominantly comprise energy from renewable sources, you can establish these energy accounting systems in your company, irrespective of whether your products concern heating/cooling, electricity, green hydrogen, biogas, sustainable fuels or mechanical energy. In addition to the use of energy from renewable sources, certification optionally also covers the associated GHG Accounting.
What is included in the TÜV SÜD “Accounting EE” standard?
The TÜV SÜD “Accounting EE” standard defines the process-related requirements that are necessary for establishing and maintaining accounting systems and for ensuring the quality of the data that will be included in accounting. Examples of users of this standard include:
- Suppliers and/or service providers of mobility and transport services or products (EcoMobility, electromobility)
- Energy suppliers
- Energy distributors
