Aviation Security Audits
Security in the airline business has not obtained high priority just since 11th September, 2001. However all arrangements for compliance and implementing of aviation security standards in Europe, which are resulting from the requests according to REGULATION (EU) No 185/2010 and (EU) No 300/2008 were considerably tightened.
Auditing by TÜV SÜD Food Safety Institute – national and international
Within the scope of the aviation security audit the requirements for aviation security can be checked at all process steps of the supply chain for food. This applies for suppliers as well as for service providers and includes also the airlines and the airports.
At the airports special framework requirements apply. Likewise the demands on quality performance of the auditors are superior.
The audits include particularly those areas, which are close to the food supply chain for the airlines and premises of the airports. For example:
• Catering units
• Shops, lounges and restaurants (airside/landside)
• Cleaning companies
• Ground handlers
The audits content inspection and documentation of all security relevant aspects in catering units from personal, building security to production processes and delivery on board.
