Authorised Registration Offices
TÜV SÜD or registration office: Who is authorised?
First go to TÜV SÜD, when...
- a vehicle has been temporarily deregistered and the main and emission check is not valid any longer.
- any technical changes have been made to the vehicle – e.g. a changeover or a setup change, tuning etc.
- you wish to have an oldtimer number plate (H-number plate) for your car or motorbike – the TÜV SÜD-experts will make an expert’s report for you.
You have to go to the registration office, when you
- want to register a new vehicle on your name.
- have bought a second hand-car and wish to have it re-registered on your name.
- want to indicate that you have sold your car or motorbike.
- have changed your address.
- wish to temporarily deregister a vehicle – or when you want to re-activate a deregistered vehicle.
- you have to definitely sort out your car and thus have to deregister it.
- need a seasonal number plate.
- have lost your registration papers part I and II.
