Monitoring covers the systematic collection, measurement, observation, or monitoring of processes in buildings through the aid of technical equipment (for example, electronic measurement systems, smart metering, building management systems) or other observation systems (for example, questionnaires and checklists). A central element is then to carry out these measures on a regular basis.
Monitoring comprises the following functions:
1.DATA COLLECTION from quantifiable situations in Building Services, Room Climate and Energy Consumption,
2.TARGET/ ACTUAL COMPARISON form calculations using actual values to evaluate a user orientated and efficient operation of a building and its services,
3.ACTION on the basis of the Target/ Actual Comparison to optimize and secure the Room- Climate, Energy Efficiency and reduction in CO2 Emissions on a long term basis.
