Lightweight, pragmatic and practically oriented IT service Management
The qualification and certification program for IT service management according to FitSM provides the basic principles and concepts for practical IT service management in a cost and time efficient way. The program consists of different modules which build on each other systematically and provide essential know-how for the various roles within an IT service management tool. Each of the modules concludes with an exam and a certificate from the TÜV SÜD Examination Institute confirming that the candidate has passed.
ITSM focuses on the provision and delivery of efficient services in order to meet customer, economic and business requirements. The optimization of these services is seen as a prerequisite for successfully doing business in national and international markets.
FitSM is a standard for pragmatic and feasible lightweight IT service Management. Similar to well-known open source software, all parts of the standard are available under Creative Commons (CC) licenses at www.fitsm.eu. The qualification program does not only teach the content of the FitSM standard but also puts it in the context of other ITSM-frameworks such as ITIL and ISO/IEC 20000. Topics such as the management of organizational change and the auditing of management systems are also part of the program.
Lateral entry for experienced ITSM specialists
Experienced ITSM specialists who hold an expert certification of another ITSM framework (e.g. ITIL Expert, ISO/IEC 20000 Consultant, ISO/IEC 20000 Auditor) can participate in a special compact “FitSM Expert Bridge” training and gain lateral entry to the FitSM expert level certification.
