Since 2003, testing under the China Compulsory Certification (CCC) scheme has been mandatory for many products before they can be imported to China. TÜV SÜD Product Service's testing laboratory in Wuxi, China, has now received accreditation by the CNCA (Certification and Accreditation Administration) and is thus authorised to perform test regarding CCC certification mark for power tools.
Accreditation covers 16 product categories, and thus all common power tools, such as circular saws and jigsaws, drills, cordless drill drivers, grinding machines and gardening tools. This accreditation now authorises the TÜV SÜD Product Service laboratory in Wuxi to test products for both safety and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
The CCC certifications required to enter the Chinese market are often costly and time-consuming. In some cases, the products must also fulfil additional requirements set forth in the national GB standards. TÜV SÜD offers one-stop services for customers striving for CCC certification, to make certification as cost- and time-efficient as possible. In addition to providing technical testing services, the technical experts in TÜV SÜD also help to collate the required documentation and certification application process. TÜV SÜD's experts support customers in the CCC procedure for various products, with household appliances, luminaires and lamps, toys and automotive components being most in demand.
TÜV SÜD has also steadily expanded its global network of offices, laboratories and testing capabilities to meet this increasing demand. TÜV SÜD now operates almost 200 product testing laboratories globally and is represented at a total of over 54 locations and 19 countries worldwide.
