TÜV SÜD supported Axpo Holding AG in acquiring Volkswind GmbH. Wind energy experts of the international service provider have analysed Volkswind’s entire portfolio. This assessment comprised 29 existing and more than another 100 wind farms in different stages of development.
The assessment of the 29 existing wind farms with a total power of 145 MW was carried out by TÜV SÜD Industrie Service GmbH and comprised determining the net production, the technical assessment of the service agreements and the approval of the power supply, the inspection of selected wind turbines as well as the estimation of the future operational costs. The wind farms which are currently under construction or in the planning phase have been assessed by the experts regarding their likelihood of implementation, the grid interconnection and their expected net energy production.
In addition, TÜV SÜD has assessed the operational management’s strategy as well as concepts for operations and maintenance at a portfolio level and carried out a detailed risk analyses.
