GreenMethane – TÜV SÜD certifies biomethane for the natural gas grid (15.03.2010)

  1. The injection of biomethane into the conventional gas grid is subsidized by the government, and the injected gas can be used to produce electricity and heat or as a fuel. However, reliable proof of origin and of the injection of the energy carrier must be submitted in order to obtain subsidies under Germany's Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) or to be eligible for crediting under the Act on the Promotion of Renewable Energies in the Heat Sector (EE-WärmeG) or Germany's biofuel sustainability ordinance. TÜV SÜD "GreenMethane" certification offers such proof.

The international service provider and the Spanish shoe manufacturers' federation signed an exclusive agreement to this effect in the run-up to the GDS.

Improved energy efficiency in industry (10.03.2010)

  1. At Hannover Messe between 19 and 23 April 2010, TÜV SÜD will present a comprehensive service package for enhanced energy efficiency. In addition to energy schemes for new plants and installations, the experts at the international provider of testing and certification services will present "Energy-Efficient System" certification and consulting services for energy management systems. Cooperation between TÜV SÜD and Fraunhofer (08.03.2010)

  1. In the future, TÜV SÜD and Fraunhofer IZM-M will collaborate in a centre of competence for cleanroom technology and contamination control. The two partners set the seal on their future cooperation by signing an agreement in Munich. Key objective of the cooperation is to establish the world's first zero-contamination cleanroom as the basis for their joint services and research.

  1. TÜV SÜD has clearly reaffirmed its commitment to Straubing as a business location by opening a new 10-metre anechoic chamber for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing. The international provider of testing and certification services invested three million euros in the new facility of TÜV SÜD SENTON and thus ultimately expanded its service portfolio in the field of product testing.
