Corporate Health Award 2009 presented for the first time
This year, a joint initiative driven by German business magazine Handelsblatt, TÜV SÜD Life Service and EuPD Research under the patronage of the Federal German Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs presented the first Corporate Health Award. On 3 November 2009, this award was given to twelve companies demonstrating excellence in occupational health and safety. Over 150 companies across all sectors of industry and revenue categories have applied for the award.
TÜV SÜD Life Service provides occupational health and safety services to staff at round about 10,000 companies in Germany and develops individual solutions for handling stress, encouraging work motivation, addressing dangers of addiction and dealing with over- and underchallenge. The objective is always to create workplace conditions which protect workforce health and safety. TÜV SÜD's expert team includes over 400 psychologists, physicians and other experts, and advises and assists with the implementation of integrated corporate health management on the basis of five interrelated fields of activity. One of its priorities is to combat psychological stress in the workplace.
