Innovation and know-how transfer for management training courses in social and health care matters in the Bavarian-Czech border region
Project Outline
First and foremost, this project aims to improve qualifications and skills of personnel in the social and health care sector on both sides of the Bavarian-Czech border, as well as to raise the quality of the services provided and to prepare the sector for the harmonisation of the underlying standards in the border region.
The project’s objective is to support executives and employees from companies in the social and health care sector to cope with the challenges of a changing sector. The participants learn how to maintain quality even under strong cost pressure. The second main objective of the project is to build up further training courses in the Czech Republic and to help training providers to do so.
In the Czech Republic, the concept of lifelong learning does not meet the overall European understanding of the need to update and broaden professional knowledge, at least not until now. Thus the further training sector still lags behind average European standards.
The project also aims to help future Czech training providers to develop a workable choice of management training courses, especially in the social and health care sector. Four round tables are organised for this purpose. Here training providers meet Bavarian and Czech providers of social and health care services. Examples of possible and planned topics of these gatherings are comparisons of the social and health care sectors in the Czech Republic and in Germany, the framework of training courses in this sector and joint curricula development.
In addition to that, Czech training providers are invited to take part in the pilot management training courses for executives and employees in the social and health care sector.
