TÜV SÜD provides high-voltage training to Bosch employees worldwide
TÜV SÜD Akademie will provide training worldwide to all Bosch employees who work on or near high-voltage systems. Following a call for tender, Bosch decided in favour of TÜV SÜD Akademie. The training provided to the Bosch employees will be based on the strict German safety regulations (BGI 8686 and BGR A3). TÜV SÜD Akademie has also designed special seminars for members of staff involved in battery assembly. The first training courses in Germany and China are already under way, and further training courses will shortly be launched in various countries including the UK, USA, India and Japan.
Kai Probst, CEO of TÜV SÜD Akademie | Kai Probst, CEO of TÜV SÜD Akademie is happy about the contract: "As pioneers in high-voltage training, we will apply our full range of experience in the training for Bosch." By offering a worldwide training programme, Bosch demonstrates its responsibility for, and high appreciation of, its staff. "Global training in accordance with the strict German regulations is far from the norm", says Probst. Bosch will make use of the complete range of high-voltage training offered by TÜV SÜD Akademie. In addition, separate continued training has been tailored to the specific area of battery assembly. TÜV SÜD Akademie was one of the first institutes to launch training in this area six years ago, and currently offers over 14 different training courses adding up to more than 100 training sessions per year. Safety is an issue frequently discussed within the scope of electromobility. While electric vehicles involve different sources of hazards from those experienced in connection with fossil-fuel-driven vehicles, the risks are no higher. However, significant danger arises when work is performed by personnel not trained in this area. Everybody who performs work on an electric or hybrid vehicle needs specific expertise, as voltages of up to 1,000 volts can occur that may be life-threatening. Here TÜV SÜD Akademie supports designers, developers, suppliers and workshops. |
