Technology Quality Supervision Bureau, China

At the end of 2011, TÜV SÜD Academy welcomed a delegation from Hubei province in China. Participants represented the Technology Quality Supervision Bureau. During the visit the delegation learned about the international quality requirements and standards. Special interest was given to quality insurance related to food safety, food regulatory systems and training programs offered by TÜV SÜD Academy. The food scandals of the last years in China, such as melamine in liquid milk, poisoned mushrooms or recycled cooking oil have put officials on guard. Lately more and more Chinese delegations representing different state and governmental organizations seek international educational exchange and network building.
Center for Testing and European Certification Ltd, Bulgaria

10 Experts from the Center for Testing and European Certification Ltd (CTEC), one of the first notified bodies in Bulgaria for conformity assessment of technical products, got qualified under Leonardo da Vinci Training Programme Mobility Activity during 2012. The qualification was made up of a 10 day training course conducted by BAW, a partner company of TÜV SÜD Academy and different business visits - one of which was conducted at TÜV SÜD Academy. During the visit the delegation got to learn about TÜV SÜD Corporation, its main areas of services and activities, as well as about TÜV SÜD’s Academy training and person certification services. It has been also discussed the possibility of a partnership between TÜV SÜD and CTEC.
Employment & Employability Institute (e2i), Singapore
In 2012, TÜV SÜD Academy hosted a delegation from e2i (Employment & Employability Institute) - a NGO set up by the Singapore Government. The delegation came to Germany on a study mission to identify technologies and services for their adult learning campus in Singapore and to inform themselves about current trends and developments in continuing vocational education and training. The discussions centered on the issue of what education and training measures can be implemented successfully in Singapore.
During their visit to Munich, the delegates were able to familiarize themselves with the training portfolio offered by TÜV SÜD Academy. Focal areas included training needs analysis, energy management, and medical engineering, but also the certification of persons. A tour of the product safety testing laboratory rounded off their visit. The visitors from Singapore were especially interested in training subjects that are aimed at raising productivity.
SINOPEC, China

Thirty high-level representatives of the Chinese SINOPEC- a very large petroleum and petrochemical enterprise group, established on the basis of the former China Petrochemical Corporation, has visited TÜV SÜD Academy.
The complex and sophisticated technology used by the oil and gas industry, which plays an important role in China, poses significant risks to the employees. Safety is therefore particularly important in the petrochemical industry.
The main objective of the visit was to get insights into health and safety management requirements and regulations and also related management systems in an international context. Furthermore the topic of SCC (Safety Checklist Contractors) has been presented and actively discussed.
Chinese hospitals and pharmaceutical companies delegation
A group of managers of major hospitals and pharmaceutical companies in China visited TÜV SÜD Academy. During two days they got informed on the quality management system in German hospitals including the visit of the Clinique in Erding, which got certified by TÜV SÜD according to DIN ISO 9001. The main goal of the business visit was to get to know the quality standards in Germany and share ideas of what could be improved and how such systems could be implemented in Chinese hospitals.
Turkish Employment Agency ISKUR, Turkey

TÜV SÜD Academy hosted the Turkish employment agency, who aims at a stronger improvement of the professional skills in Turkey. The delegation has visited the German Federal Employment Agency and TÜV SÜD Academy, which is officially recognized by the Federal Employment Agency as certified training provider authorized to provide professional education to job-seekers. During the several hours visit, the delegation got important insights into training funding opportunities, skills requirements communicated by industries and the accordingly targeted TÜV SÜD Academy training services for unemployed persons and job-seekers.
Indo-German Joint Working Group on Vocational Education and Training

A group of senior representatives of the Indo-German governmental group on vocational education visited TÜV SÜD Academy. The group advices the Indian government, which has the ambitious plan to increase the number of persons having a professional qualification from 5 millions today to 500 millions within the next 10 years.
To accomplish this, the country needs assistance, and that is why officials have turned to Germany. As a result, a high-ranking working group was established and meets regularly – in September 2011 in Munich. The group was particularly interested in the fact that TÜV SÜD Academy can carry out personnel certification in India under ISO 17024. After all, the Indian government wants the country’s citizens to also have internationally recognized vocational certificates. Currently, TÜV SÜD Academy is already accredited as skills assessment body with the Indian Government on a pan-Indian basis for all relevant fields of competence.
